Essen, June 8th 2022 – DextraData’s process optimisation solution Logipad is getting a rebranding and new features on the occasion of its 20th anniversary. The software, which has been established and successful in the aviation industry since 2002 as Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), now has a clean and modern look and feel. With three convergent triangles, the new logo symbolises the streamlining of processes and the merging of different information. In addition, the Essen-based IT service provider and software manufacturer has expanded Logipad so comprehensively in terms of features that the 2nd generation further optimises processes before, during and after flights. Logipad is now fully scalable and can be used on the three most important operating systems (iOS, Windows and Android). A web client (browser version) has also been added. Logipad also takes the latest security developments into account with two-factor authorisation.
The first users to see and try Logipad’s fresh design and new features will be pilots of well-known international airlines. For over 20 years, pilots, crew and ground staff all over the world have been using Logipad as a digital document & workflow management tool. During the preparation, execution and follow-up of a flight, information and files must pass through the right processes and be made available to the right parties (pilots, crew and ground staff) in a timely manner and with minimal effort. By digitising and automating these processes, Logipad makes them paperless and efficient. Logipad thus manages to reduce the number of people involved by three quarters, combats bureaucracy and ultimately saves unnecessary costs.
DextraData’s classic celebrates 20 years
»In the aviation industry, we have been known and successful as the “digital pilot’s case” for 20 years. We are celebrating this – but only briefly. The needs of our customers continue to be our focus«, explains Dirk Leese, Manager Process Automation Practice at DextraData.
DextraData has consistently applied the product promise of process streamlining and optimisation to the second generation of Logipad. One example is the Logipad eFormGenerator: The creation of eForms now works via drag & drop. It now also supports signatures, adding smartphone images or saved graphics.
Another example is the now platform-independent BriefingManager: It simplifies a manual assignment of crew members to a specific flight. In addition, content can be added to a briefing package, such as load sheets or overflight permits. Completed briefings can be viewed with the BriefingManager.
On 23rd of June, DextraData and Aviation Magazine Aircraft IT will present the Logipad 2nd Generation in an international webinar. Interested users can send an email at stefanie.kurzinsky@dextradata.com and will get an invitation for the webinar.
